Useful Art for Communities

UAC is an avant-garde art platform which promotes art as a tool for social transformation and which aims at inspiring creative thinking and being in everyday contexts. On the local level, its projects and workshops are aimed at building more caring and participatory communities while on a global scale it tries to understand and engage with sociopolitical and ecological issues such as the Anthropocene/Capitalocene/ Chthulucene or the migration systems.

We believe that through visual, conceptual, performative, etc. arts citizens can re-imagine and explore in new and creative ways their relationship to others and to nature, strengthen social ties, and innovatively transform public spaces for more plural and egalitarian cities, all of which can have positive effects on the globalised world we live in.
